OTTAWA, Ill., Feb. 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- LMK Technologies, LLC, filed a patent infringement suit today against BLD Services LLC. The complaint, filed in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, alleges that BLD has and continues to infringe U.S. Patent 7,975,726. The patented technology relates to pipeline rehabilitation and the use of hydrophilic materials to seal the junction between main and lateral sewer pipes.
LMK's complaint seeks an injunction to preclude further alleged infringing activity, as well as damages, attorney fees and costs. According to Mike Reardon, LMK Technologies CEO, "LMK's intellectual property is the backbone of the market's most effective solution for rehabilitating main-to-lateral sewer connections. This action is consistent with our ongoing commitment to our customers and installation contractors to protect LMK's intellectual property."
