Just like Hyundai, Quaker State—a leader in consumer automotive products and vehicle care for more than 80 years—is built on assurance and providing the best value to its customers. Quaker State, one of the industry's most innovative motor oil brands, makes it its mission to help consumers get the most out of their vehicles by extending vehicle longevity and improving durability.

"Hyundai Motor America's commitment to our consumers is exemplified by our 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty and the Assurance Connected Care program," said Frank Ferrara, executive vice president, customer satisfaction, Hyundai Motor America. "We're proud to work with Quaker State, a brand well-known for quality lubricants, to further that commitment. Hyundai recognizes the dedication of Quaker State to produce motor oil that helps improve cars' performance, efficiency, emissions and durability."

"Shell and Hyundai have a global relationship that dates back to 2005 and it is our shared focus of putting our customers first that makes this U.S. dealership program a natural fit," stated Shell Lubricants Global Key Accounts Vice President Steve Reindl. "More than 200 Shell Lubricants scientists around the world work every day to create innovative products. One result of their work is Quaker State Ultimate Durability™ Full Synthetic Motor Oil, designed to deliver motorists a fuel economy savings of an average of five cents per gallon2, while providing unsurpassed protection against friction-related wear3. We are pleased that Hyundai's customers in the U.S. can benefit from our Quaker State products."

Hyundai dealers will have the Quaker State Advanced Durability® Conventional Motor Oil, Quaker State Enhanced Durability Synthetic Blend® Motor Oil, Quaker State Defy Synthetic Blend High Mileage® Motor Oil, and Quaker State Ultimate Durability Full Synthetic® Motor Oil available for customers. The Quaker State team, in addition to the motor oil, will also provide dealer-level marketing support, program training and upgraded dispensing equipment. Hyundai cars and SUVs in the U.S. will have stickers in the engine compartment and references in the owner's manuals recommending Quaker State branded motor oil to customers. The engine compartment recommendation stickers allow customers to establish a tangible connection between both companies. Dealerships will be encouraged to use co-branded advertising as part of the Hyundai Lubricants Program.

This relationship with Shell Oil and Quaker State further bolsters Hyundai Motor America's move to offer Assurance Car Care Express service centers in dealerships. Assurance Car Care Express allows Hyundai dealerships to provide customers with quick oil changes, multi-point vehicle inspections, tire rotation, air and cabin filter replacements, wiper blades, and other basic services as needed. The goal is to get customers in and out of the service drive in less than an hour. The marketing tagline for Hyundai Assurance Car Care Express is "Get in, Get out, Get back to your life".

What are the new priorities for the connected business? First: businesses need to think differently about the types of connections they will need to make – these span well beyond the traditional app to app into more modern forms of integration including SaaS integrations, mobile integrations, APIs, device integration and Big Data integration. It’s important these are unified together vs. doing them all piecemeal. Second, these types of connections need to be simple to design, adapt and configure...

All clouds are not equal. To succeed in a DevOps context, organizations should plan to develop/deploy apps across a choice of on-premise and public clouds simultaneously depending on the business needs. DevOps is often described as a combination of technology and culture. Without both, DevOps isn't complete. However, applying the culture to outdated technology is a recipe for disaster; as response times grow and connections between teams are delayed by technology, the culture will die. A Nutanix Enterprise Cloud has many benefits that provide the needed base for a true DevOps paradigm. In his general session at 20th Cloud Expo, Chris Brown, a Solutions Marketing Manager at Nutanix, will explore...
