SumTotal Systems Awarded Gold in the 2014 bsoco Awards

For Second Year Running Business Software Comparison (bsoco) recognises SumTotal as industry leading HR solutions provider

READING, UK, February 28, 2014 - SumTotal® Systems, LLC, the largest independent provider of integrated HR solutions, has earned first place in the bsoco "Learning Management System 2014" category for the second year. Bsoco is a leading industry body, evaluating and recognising best-in-class software. It bestows honours based on an assessment of an independent, international panel of judges and feedback from the users themselves. The SumTotal Learn: Enterprise learning management system (LMS) was named a Gold winner earlier this month during the LEARNTEC International Trade Fair in Karlsruhe, Germany.

SumTotal's award-winning solution impressed the judges with its ability to deliver in-context learning to its users, when and where they need it. This means employees have immediate access to recommended tools and information, directly from within the applications in which they are working, which is essential for the modern, mobile workforce. The solution is part of SumTotal's Talent Expansion suite, which rethinks the traditional approach to human capital management and helps organisations engage their workforce by delivering tools that help employees get better at their jobs, while they are doing them.

Following an extensive evaluation process over a number of months to assess each software solution, bsoco ultimately recognised SumTotal's learning solution with the prestigious first place award. The bsoco index, which measures popularity and user satisfaction on a global, community portal, is a key influencer in the decision-making process. Additionally an independent panel of consultants then evaluates the software's efficiency, functionality and innovation. This dual perspective, combined with international participation, makes the bsoco awards one of SumTotal's most demanding and rewarding achievements.

"We have seen a vastly increased demand for training and development in recent years, which is a testament to how far learning has climbed up the corporate agenda. As companies look to drive business efficiency and develop employees to possess the right skills at the right level, learning solutions have never been a more important investment," said Steven Rees-Pullman, SumTotal vice president of EMEA. "Organisations recognise that these investments boost company productivity and help retain talented employees. They want visibility into each employee's development to ensure organisational and individual goals are aligned and to increase business stability and growth. We provide solutions that give them the insight needed to achieve this."
