VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwired) -- 03/03/14 -- New Hana Copper Mining Ltd. ("New Hana" or the "Company") - (TSX VENTURE: HML) is pleased to announce the appointment of Jon R. Stacey to the position of President, effective March 1, 2014.

"His experience in commercial negotiations, government relations and technical background across Africa will be instrumental in helping us identify and evaluate opportunities as we look to advance our strategy. Jon is a lifelong resident of Zambia and will oversee the Company's operations from our offices in Zambia."

Most recently, Mr. Stacey was the founding director and manager of Infinity Minerals & Resources, a private company dedicated to the identification and acquisition of prospective exploration projects in Africa. Prior to that he was the founder of Tangila Exploration, a company offering geological consultancy services to an international client base for work carried out in Zambia, Zimbabwe, Sierra Leone and South Africa. Previously, he worked for Rio Tinto in various roles in their exploration group focused on projects in Africa.
Mr. Stacey, who resides in Zambia, holds a BSc in Exploration and Resource Geology from Cardiff University, Wales, and is a member of the Geological Society of London and the Geological Society of South Africa.
