With 1,083 guest rooms, the Wyndham New Yorker Hotel becomes the largest property in the brand's portfolio of 170 hotels worldwide.
The addition of Wyndham New Yorker Hotel, located in the heart of Midtown Manhattan at Eighth Avenue and 34th Street, is a significant milestone in Wyndham Hotel Group's strategy to fly the Wyndham flag in key cities around the world. In the past 18 months, the brand's footprint has expanded to city-center locations in major markets including Boston, San Diego and Philadelphia in the U.S.; Istanbul; Berlin and Salzburg, Austria, in Europe; and Cusco, Peru, and Guayaquil, Ecuador, in Latin America, among others.

After previously undergoing over $100 million in renovations, a new multi-million dollar renovation is currently underway at the historic hotel to upgrade all guest rooms, public spaces and meeting facilities.
"The New Yorker Hotel is an iconic mainstay that is synonymous with one of the greatest cities in the world," said Keith Pierce, executive vice president of brand operations for Wyndham Hotel Group. Hotel features include free wireless internet access throughout the property, a business center, a fitness center, concierge services and valet laundry service. The hotel is situated within 15 miles of the area's three international airports.
Currently, the property's 25,000 square feet of meeting and event space is comprised of 14 conference rooms and two large ballrooms that cater to functions ranging from 10 to 600 attendees. Upon completion of renovations, meeting and event space will increase to over 30,000 square feet. Guests hosting events at Wyndham New Yorker Hotel have access to state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment and services, personalized catering and an on-site, dedicated events team.
Newly renovated guest rooms feature panoramic views of New York City, flat-screen televisions and art deco-style décor. The hotel offers two on-site dining locations: Cooper's Tavern, which serves fresh American cuisine at lunch and dinner, and the 24-hour Tick Tock Diner featuring classic American dishes.
