TUCSON, Ark., March 3, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Pacific Office Automation Tucson has raised an interesting point. In a time when businesses are showing increased reliance on technologies, why are they seemingly so hesitant to switch to electronic invoicing? The company recently detailed the many benefits in beginning to use an electronic invoice and also postulated some of the potential reasons that many companies have been so resistant to change in this particular area.

"It seems that there is this pervasive belief that since invoicing is such an important aspect of business, it is not safe to entrust an electronic system with this vital duty," said a representative with Pacific Office Automation Tucson. The representative was quick to point out that many of the current, paper-based invoicing systems are wasteful and inefficient, citing the extra time, ink and paper needed to generate these invoices as unnecessary.

"Many companies make use of manual invoicing, but this is an incredibly inefficient use of time," said the representative. "Not only that, manual invoicing is more likely to include errors than an automated invoicing system, it delays payment reconciliation and it impacts the management of cash flow for all of the parties involved."
