UK Cloud Awards acknowledge hybrid cloud pioneer with industry accolade
Bath, United Kingdom - 3rd March 2014: Zynstra, the pioneer in hybrid cloud solutions for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), has been named the Most Innovative SMB Cloud Solution at the UK Cloud Awards.
This coveted award was the most hotly contested and included the very best of cloud technology from around the world. The inaugural awards were jointly organised by the Cloud Industry Forum (CIF), Cloud Pro and techUK, and were presented at a ceremony on 26th February at London's City Hall.
"In the UK alone there are over two million organisations with fewer than 250 employees and this is an incredibly important market for any business," said Alex Hilton, CEO Cloud Industry Forum. "Zynstra's Cloud Managed Server Appliance stood out as it has been specifically developed with the SMB in mind. In developing their offering, Zynstra understood and tangibly addressed the unique challenges of this market, enabling SMB organisations to realise the value that cloud technology can bring to their business."
Nick East, CEO at Zynstra commented on the win. "To win such a coveted award in a strong and innovative field is fantastic recognition for Zynstra. It's well documented that SMBs are underserved by the technology market, with most vendors focused on the needs of larger enterprises. Zynstra addressed this head on with a solution designed from the ground up for SMBs and their IT partners that is already gaining tremendous momentum. This award is a testament to the team I'm privileged to work with at Zynstra - who have huge passion for the success of our SMB customers and their IT partners, and an incredible track-record in both technology and business innovation."
Zynstra is a provider of hybrid cloud solutions that enable SMBs to benefit from the security and performance of local IT combined with the economics and ease of the cloud. Headquartered in Bath, UK, Zynstra has developed patent-pending technology that gives SMBs hassle-free, enterprise-level IT with built-in reliability they can afford.
Zynstra is backed by Octopus Investments, one of the UK's leading investors in fast growth companies that can scale explosively to create, transform or dominate an industry.

"Once customers get a year into their IoT deployments, they start to realize that they may have been shortsighted in the ways they built out their deployment and the key thing I see a lot of people looking at is - how can I take equipment data, pull it back in an IoT solution and show it in a dashboard," stated Dave McCarthy, Director of Products at Bsquare Corporation, in this SYS-CON.tv interview at @ThingsExpo, held November 1-3, 2016, at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, CA.

Predictive analytics tools monitor, report, and troubleshoot in order to make proactive decisions about the health, performance, and utilization of storage. Most enterprises combine cloud and on-premise storage, resulting in blended environments of physical, virtual, cloud, and other platforms, which justifies more sophisticated storage analytics. In his session at 18th Cloud Expo, Peter McCallum, Vice President of Datacenter Solutions at FalconStor, discussed using predictive analytics to mon...

Today we can collect lots and lots of performance data. We build beautiful dashboards and even have fancy query languages to access and transform the data. Still performance data is a secret language only a couple of people understand. The more business becomes digital the more stakeholders are interested in this data including how it relates to business. Some of these people have never used a monitoring tool before. They have a question on their mind like “How is my application doing” but no id...
