By recently launching of new series of services in Arab countries, Binbit one of the leading companies in the distribution of mobile content in the world, has completed the integration of CallCast into its operations. In the past month Binbit purchased CellCast Middle East, hereinafter referred to as “Binbit Middle East”.
Pascal Dufour, former CEO for CellCast, and currently Regional Director for Binbit Middle East, stressed the great opportunity that the Arab countries represent and the challenges the group faces in the region.
“There are huge cultural hurdles in the Arab countries, as users generally look for local media content. This is a notable difference from other regions of the world, by example Latin American; where one artist may be successful in various counties within a region. This is generally not the case in Arab countries.
"Binbit welcomes these challenges, and hopes to turn them into strengths. Binbit prides itself on its capacity to adapt to different domestic cultures and identify the contents that will satisfy users´ tastes. This has been Binbit’s constant practice in each country it operates."
Antoni Muntaner, chairman of Binbit, said that the company has a great strength in the richness of its portfolio of contents, brands, and the quality of its services.
"Mobile is becoming more like a Swiss knife to allowing us to provide many different utilities or services to user, that is why Binbit has always been constantly increasing its array services including, for example, health and educational content, while always maintain maintaining the high quality of entertainment products," he commented.
Binbit will maintain regional headquarters of Binbit Middle East in Beirut where will continue to strengthen its presence in the region.
Founded in 2005 in Monterrey, México, Binbit is a group that has experienced strong growth thanks to its ability to adapt to different markets and its slim structure. Binbit Middle East has presence in 14 Arab countries: Qatar, Arabia Saudi, Syria, United Arab Emirates, Yemen, Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Pakistan, Palestine and Egypt.
