Aclipsa Mobile Video Solutions, LLC today announced that ZipaClip, a secure mobile video and texting application, is now available for Android devices. Free to download, ZipaClip gives consenting adults a “digital safe haven” to privately share their silly, romantic, or flirty videos or texts, eliminating the risk of private messages being saved, shared, forwarded or posted online.
Unique to the ZipaClip app, users can “ZipBack” a video or text at any time so that it can no longer be viewed or read by recipients. In addition, unlike other video sharing apps, all content is viewable only “app-to-app” and cannot be accessed on a web site.
To ensure privacy, ‘ZipaClip’ allows users to send videos through an encrypted and secure cloud-based process. As soon as a video is uploaded, ZipaClip employs the latest security protocols so that a user’s video is encrypted from the second it is shared and can be “un-shared” at any time. ZipaClip also offers an “app lockdown” via a dot-lock code, preventing access to a user’s personal content if their device is lost or stolen.
“Android device owners who use ZipaClip can share intimate video and texts with that special someone with complete peace of mind that their messages will remain private and secure,” said Jeff Reichard, CEO, Aclipsa. “ZipaClip users don’t have to worry about their content being saved to a device, seen by any unwanted eyes, going viral, or being shared on social networking sites.”
The free version of ZipaClip allows users to send and receive fully-encrypted texts and video clips up to 15 seconds in length and save up to 15 minutes of video messages on the app’s encrypted cloud-based service. Additionally, premium features are available which allow users the option to share longer videos as well as securely store additional video minutes.
Because ZipaClip is cross-platform, Android and iOS device owners can send private texts and video messages to one another. Android device owners can download the free ZipaClip app on Google Play store: http://bit.ly/Mx58JC. iOS device owners (iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch) can download ZipaClip from the iTunes App Store: http://bit.ly/10LBPmw.
In addition, Aclipsa, the creators of ZipaClip, now offer a B2B solution to protect proprietary communications, secure messaging and content delivery that can be easily incorporated into existing apps through SDKs (Software Development Kits).
Aclipsa Mobile Video Solutions, LLC is dedicated to developing products that protect the privacy of its customers. Aclipsa’s secure messaging platform utilizes encryption to protect and deliver video and text messages to smartphones, tablets, and mobile devices. The key strength of Aclipsa’s encryption and delivery to mobile devices means videos and texts cannot be stolen or shared to go viral.
The Aclipsa platform and applications serve consumers, businesses, and non-profit organizations to meet their needs for communicating privately, confidentially and securely. Aclipsa products offer one-to-one or one-to-many messaging solutions, apps for mobile devices, SDK, SaaS-based messaging for business, white-label development for e-commerce, and custom applications in a broad scope of industries. Its consumer app, ZipaClip, a secure video and text messaging app for iOS, was introduced in January 2013 and was listed as a top 10 app download in the Photo and Video category of the Apple iTunes store. It is now available for Android devices.

With so much going on in this space you could be forgiven for thinking you were always working with yesterday’s technologies. So much change, so quickly. What do you do if you have to build a solution from the ground up that is expected to live in the field for at least 5-10 years? This is the challenge we faced when we looked to refresh our existing 10-year-old custom hardware stack to measure the fullness of trash cans and compactors.

I wanted to gather all of my Internet of Things (IOT) blogs into a single blog (that I could later use with my University of San Francisco (USF) Big Data “MBA” course). However as I started to pull these blogs together, I realized that my IOT discussion lacked a vision; it lacked an end point towards which an organization could drive their IOT envisioning, proof of value, app dev, data engineering and data science efforts. And I think that the IOT end point is really quite simple…

Today we can collect lots and lots of performance data. We build beautiful dashboards and even have fancy query languages to access and transform the data. Still performance data is a secret language only a couple of people understand. The more business becomes digital the more stakeholders are interested in this data including how it relates to business. Some of these people have never used a monitoring tool before. They have a question on their mind like “How is my application doing” but no id...

Qosmos has announced new milestones in the detection of encrypted traffic and in protocol signature coverage. Qosmos latest software can accurately classify traffic encrypted with SSL/TLS (e.g., Google, Facebook, WhatsApp), P2P traffic (e.g., BitTorrent, MuTorrent, Vuze), and Skype, while preserving the privacy of communication content. These new classification techniques mean that traffic optimization, policy enforcement, and user experience are largely unaffected by encryption. In respect wit...
