FRESNO, Calif., March 5, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Bethesda Apostolic Church (located at 3723 East Dakota Ave, Fresno, CA 93726) will host a public book signing on March 8, 2014, featuring Fresno author, magazine publisher and business owner, Reginia McKinney-McGee, as she signs her new book, Introspection.
Reginia has a vast business background and an ability to write from the heart about the trials and tribulations of family dynamics, love, joy, friendships and heartbreaks.
Reginia was born and raised in Reno, Nevada and her greatest influence was her loving and devoted mother. In 1988, Reginia's mother became ill and needed around-the-clock care. Reginia's mother died shortly thereafter and Reginia moved to Fresno County. Reginia's inspiration for the book came from the loss of her mother. Reginia was not able to truly mourn the loss of her mother until ten years later.
The author felt a tremendous loss of family and wrote Introspection the first book in a series of Introspection novels over a long period of examining the importance of a loving family. The book, Introspection, is based on the author's own desire to create what she lost after her mother's death in 1989. Introspection explores the feeling of having a close-knit loving family. "This book really highlights my experience on the loss of my mother who was the Matriarch of my extended family. I did not truly mourn the loss of my mother until ten years after her death. I began to write Introspection as a way of creating a family that I longed for and so desperately desired," stated Reginia.
Introspection's main character, Gina, is an exciting, intriguing, dependable yet complicated character in a complex family dynamic. The reader will see themselves in the main character's life challenges of dealing with the aspects of everyday life as opposed to what one truly feels inside but is fearful to display to the world.
Reginia is the honored recipient of the 24 Women of Influence Award. The Award, granted by KSEE-TV24, NBC Fresno-Visalia and Kaiser Permanente Health System, honors and recognizes women who have demonstrated dedication to the betterment of their family, company and community.
In order to receive the 24 Women of Influence Award, one must possess the gifts of giving, encouragement, compassion, leadership and charity. In response to the honor of being an Award Recipient, Reginia stated, "These gifts are given by God. It is a great feeling to be honored with the 24 Women of Influence for my commitment to family, work and community." Reginia went on to thank, among others, her mother from whom she inherited a special gift. "The gift of giving, a gift not given to all, which I learned watching her empty our freezer to help family and friends," stated Reginia.
One of Reginia's most notable accomplishments is her work with children as owner of foster care agencies located in Fresno County.
Also, Reginia created and published motivational and educational magazines for students in the Fresno County school system.
Reginia resides in Fresno County, California where she thrives as a wife, mother, grandmother and local business owner. Reginia is a major force in Fresno's thriving business community, in part, for her incredible work as owner of foster care agencies.
Reginia will read an excerpt from her book Introspection, answer questions and will be signing books at:

In the world of DevOps there are ‘known good practices’ – aka ‘patterns’ – and ‘known bad practices’ – aka ‘anti-patterns.' Many of these patterns and anti-patterns have been developed from real world experience, especially by the early adopters of DevOps theory; but many are more feasible in theory than in practice, especially for more recent entrants to the DevOps scene. In this power panel at @DevOpsSummit at 18th Cloud Expo, moderated by DevOps Conference Chair Andi Mann, panelists will dis...

See storage differently! Storage performance problems have only gotten worse and harder to solve as applications have become largely virtualized and moved to a cloud-based infrastructure. Storage performance in a virtualized environment is not just about IOPS, it is about how well that potential performance is guaranteed to individual VMs for these apps as the number of VMs keep going up real time. In his session at 18th Cloud Expo, Dhiraj Sehgal, in product and marketing at Tintri, will discu...

Up until last year, enterprises that were looking into cloud services usually undertook a long-term pilot with one of the large cloud providers, running test and dev workloads in the cloud. With cloud’s transition to mainstream adoption in 2015, and with enterprises migrating more and more workloads into the cloud and in between public and private environments, the single-provider approach must be revisited. In his session at 18th Cloud Expo, Yoav Mor, multi-cloud solution evangelist at Cloudy...

There is an ever-growing explosion of new devices that are connected to the Internet using “cloud” solutions. This rapid growth is creating a massive new demand for efficient access to data. And it’s not just about connecting to that data anymore. This new demand is bringing new issues and challenges and it is important for companies to scale for the coming growth. And with that scaling comes the need for greater security, gathering and data analysis, storage, connectivity and, of course, the...
