ALAMEDA, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 03/05/14 -- Telecare Corporation (www.telecarecorp.com) announced today that it has entered into an agreement with Novation (www.novationco.com) to offer behavioral health management and consulting services to the members served by Novation, which include the more than 100,000 hospitals and affiliates of hospitals VHA, Inc., UHC, Children's Hospital Association, and Provista. The new contract was effective March 1, 2014.
"Contracting with Novation is an important opportunity for us," said Anne Bakar, Chief Executive Officer of Telecare Corporation. "We are now able to make our innovative mental health services available to a much larger national network of health care systems." She noted that Novation covers 40 percent of all staffed beds in the U.S., 45 percent of all hospital admissions, and 94 percent of the nation's academic medical centers.
As an awarded Novation supplier, Telecare now becomes a service provider option for health care organizations seeking to add a new psychiatric service or enhance the performance of an existing behavioral health program.
