WOCU® Incorporated into TraderMade Professional Charting System

LONDON, March 6, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --

The WOCU®, an independent, composite global currency unit, has been incorporated in the Tradermade Systems Ltd ("TraderMade") charting software.

The WOCU, a registered trademark of WOCU Limited, is an independent, apolitical, elegantly constructed composite currency unit that naturally adjusts to the rise and fall in the prominence of its constituents; the currencies of the World's Top Twenty economies measured by their GDP.  The WOCU embraces the success of booming economies and reduces exposure to those that are struggling. It is entirely transparent, trustworthy and is based on real currency values.

TraderMade develops, sells and supports cutting edge analytical software for the global financial markets.  It provides real-time market data and proprietary analytics to dealers within leading banks, corporations, financial institutions and individual traders worldwide. It has incorporated the WOCU, an exciting new financial tool, in line with its effort to lead and innovate in this highly competitive niche market.

The WOCU is inherently stable, and delivers greater certainty than any single currency. The WOCU provides for changes in the ranking of the major countries and its structure takes into account any variation in the components of the Euro. In particular it provides a safe haven for FX positions and potentially could act as the global trade reference currency.

Mike Blakey, MD of WOCU Limited said; "WOCU Limited is delighted that TraderMade has recognised the WOCU's place in the FX landscape, and what the WOCU has to offer as a universal and transparent global reference."

David Upton, CEO of TraderMade said; "TraderMade are very pleased to support the WOCU composite, and to include it in our charting platforms.  We support the initiatives being undertaken by the WOCU, and consider it a valid instrument to include on our platforms alongside the mainstream FX data we supply."

The WOCU (currency code XCU), a Registered Trademark of WOCU Limited, is a global composite currency derivative covering the World's Top Twenty economies, representing the vast majority of global production. Weighted elegantly by transparent International Monetary Fund GDP figures, the WOCU is a natural "Currency Shock Absorber".

Weighted by IMF published figures and taking in real time exchange rates, the WOCU algorithm outputs WOCU cross rates in real time. The WOCU can be used to reduce risk and assist decision making in saving, investment, international trade, commodity pricing, project finance, international portfolios and indexes, and a host of other applications.

The WOCU is applicable across a huge financial spectrum; trading of goods and services, corporate treasury, asset and fund management, savings and bonds: from whole nations down to individuals.

As the rapid adoption of containers continues, companies are finding that they lack the operational tools to understand the behavior of applications deployed in these containers, and how to identify issues in their application infrastructure. For example, how are multiple containers within an application impacting each other’s performance? If an application’s service is degraded, which container is to blame? In the case of an application outage, what was the root cause of the outage?
