Denhall Construction Uses Textura-CPM to be a More Progressive, Transparent and Efficient General Contractor

CHICAGO, March 6, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Textura® Corporation (NYSE: TXTR), the leading provider of collaboration and productivity tools for the construction industry, announced today that Denhall Construction Inc., a Canadian General Contractor offering Construction Management, Project Management and Design Build for the industrial, commercial and institutional (ICI) construction sectors, is using TexturaCPM to become more progressive, transparent and efficient. TexturaCPM is award-winning software that transforms the construction payment management process by eliminating inefficient, manual processes and integrating billing, prime and sub-tier lien waiver collection, statutory declaration collection, compliance management and payments into one continuous workflow.

"The three main drivers for us to use TexturaCPM were the ability to use the solution online, provide more transparency to our subcontractors and deliver electronic payments to subcontractors," said Roy Padovani, Owner, Denhall Construction Inc. "We were using completely manual processes for invoicing, which was incredibly inefficient. We spent too much time chasing paper trails to find necessary information, and we lacked centralized compliance management. CPM has revolutionized our entire construction payment management process."

Using a sophisticated but user-friendly workflow, Denhall Construction and other General Contractors can use TexturaCPM to initiate the monthly draw, review documents and simplify communication between all project stakeholders, ensuring that everyone has the necessary information to make business decisions.

TexturaCPM also improves the relationships that Denhall has with its subcontractor community. "We occasionally run across a subcontractor who is reluctant to use Textura, usually because they are not familiar with the system," said Padovani. "We then ask the subcontractor: 'How much does it cost you to drive around picking up cheques versus getting paid electronically?' 'What does it cost you to not see the status of your draw online?' 'What does it cost you in playing phone and email tag with a Project Manager to check on payment status?' When subcontractors consider those costs, using CPM just makes more sense."

Patrick Allin, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Textura Corporation, said, "It's encouraging to see a growing contractor such as Denhall choose our collaboration solutions to enhance efficiency and increase transparency. These are goals that all construction companies should aspire to, and we look forward to seeing the levels of collaboration and success Denhall will achieve with our solutions."

This data needs to be captured, processed, structured, and stored in a way to facilitate different kinds of queries. Traditional data warehouse and analytical systems are mature technologies that can be used to handle certain kinds of queries, but they are not always well suited to many problems, particularly when there is a need for real-time insights.
