SEATTLE, WA -- (Marketwired) -- 03/06/14 -- Oberto, the nation's leading all natural jerky brand, is pleased to announce its new relationship with celebrity trainer and nutritionist, Harley Pasternak. Oberto, known for having real, simple ingredients, is working with the nutrition expert to encourage people to be active and snack well. Pasternak will challenge consumers to turn over the bag and see what they're eating. His efforts are part of Oberto's America's PROtein campaign to educate people on the value and importance of lean protein in living a healthy, active lifestyle.
"Oberto is excited to be working closely with such an authority as Harley on fitness and nutrition with our America's PROtein campaign. Harley knows the significance of lean protein and the role our all natural beef jerky has in snacking well," said Greg Yahn, Vice President of Marketing for Oberto Brands. "We're working with him to ask consumers to be more aware of what they eat, turn over the bag and compare our real, simple ingredients with the other options."
Pasternak will work with Oberto to provide insight, tips and recommendations on optimizing lean protein through snacking. He will also make Oberto products available to his client portfolio and will interact with consumers and media to discuss the many benefits of Oberto's lean, all natural jerky.
"My clients come to me asking for help in preparing for a new role and character, or to simply get in better shape. I've found that nutrition is a key part of this process which is too often overlooked. Studies show exercise is more effective with a moderately high protein diet," said Harley Pasternak, fitness and nutrition expert. "Professional athletes, active individuals, nutritionists and trainers all recognize the importance of lean protein. Deciding which protein you consume should be easy -- keep it simple and avoid preservatives and artificial ingredients. That's why I've chosen to partner with Oberto."
Pasternak, a fitness and nutrition specialist, holds a Master of Science in Exercise Physiology and Nutritional Sciences and an Honors Degree in Kinesiology. Also a bestselling author, he has trained the top male and female actors and artists leading the music and blockbuster charts.
Pasternak's ongoing recommendations will be available via Oberto's social media channels as well as through other content available for consumers. For more details on Oberto's America's PROtein campaign, visit Oberto.com and Facebook.com/ObertoBeefJerky.

However, most consumers have no idea what “IoT” means. Creating more wearables that track data shouldn't be the aim of brands; delivering meaningful, tangible relevance to their users should be. We're in a period in which the IoT pendulum is still swinging. Initially, it swung toward "smart for smar...
