Brothers Mark and Jon Sider created the drink which combines the best of sports nutrition, health and the pursuit of continuous improvement. Greater Than contains all natural ingredients, is low calorie and has twice the electrolyte content of mainstream sports drinks. The brand has enjoyed explosive growth since its introduction in 2010 in a single Chicago area store. Today, Greater Than is available in more than 200 locations as well as on-line from Amazon.com. In support of its expanded distribution and growth, the company has refreshed their brand, their formulations and their packaging based on consumer feedback.

The redesigned package is now topped with CSI’s Extra-Lok V 38mm OD closure. This cap has been optimally designed to be the lightest weight two-lead, 38mm closure in the market while maintaining performance excellence. Co-owner and co-developer Mark Sider said, “We wanted to emphasize our GREATER THAN branding to our consumers with our message on both sides of the package and on the closure; CSI enabled us to do that. In addition, CSI quickly facilitated color matching and has been very flexible in meeting all of our delivery requirements.”

The startup company founders researched other closure suppliers and made their choice based in part on CSI’s experience and industry-wide reputation. “CSI’s technical knowledge and application problem-solving are impressive,” said Mark. “We sought an experienced partner to ensure we would have a trouble-free national rollout.”

About Greater Than

The competitive-athletic brothers Mark and Jon Sider needed a better sports drink that fueled performance, tasted great and that was made with only natural ingredients. The problem was this beverage did not exist. So the brothers teamed up to create a brand and a drink that represented the best of sports nutrition, health and the pursuit of getting better. Launched in one store in the summer of 2010, Greater Than has been winning over loyal consumers based on quality ingredients, community involvement and effective grass roots marketing. Extracting business value from Internet of Things (IoT) data doesn’t happen overnight. There are several requirements that must be satisfied, including IoT device enablement, data analysis, real-time detection of complex events and automated orchestration of actions. Businesses and business units of all sizes can benefit from cloud computing, but many don't want the cost, performance and security concerns of public cloud nor the complexity of building their own private clouds. Today, some cloud vendors are using artificial intelligence (AI) to simplify cloud deployment and management. The Internet of Things (IoT) promises to simplify and streamline our lives by automating routine tasks that distract us from our goals. This promise is based on the ubiquitous deployment of smart, connected devices that link everything from industrial control systems to automobiles to refrigerators. Unfortunately, comparatively few of the devices currently deployed have been developed with an eye toward security, and as the DDoS attacks of late October 2016 have demonstrated, this oversight can ...

Between 2005 and 2020, data volumes will grow by a factor of 300 – enough data to stack CDs from the earth to the moon 162 times. This has come to be known as the ‘big data’ phenomenon. Fortunately, in response a new breed of technology has emerged that is cheaper, faster and more scalable. Yet, in meeting these new needs they...
