Agiliance CEO to Lead Panel Discussion on Managing Risk in the Cloud at Big Data & Cloud Summit

Agiliance®, Inc., the Big Data Risk Company™ and leading independent provider of integrated solutions for Operational and Security Risk programs, today announced that its president and chief executive officer, Joe Fantuzzi, has been invited to lead a panel session on how to manage risk in the cloud at the 1st Annual Big Data & Cloud Summit. The summit will be held March 12, 2014 at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.

The Big Data & Cloud Summit gathers top thought leaders from government and industry to address how big data can be harnessed to address the country's top cyber security challenges. Keynote speakers include Dr. Farnam Jahanian, assistant director at the Computer and Information Science and Engineering Directorate of the National Science Foundation; Gus Hunt, chief executive officer at Hunt Technology and former chief technology officer at the Central Intelligence Agency; and Daniel Kaufman, director of the Information Innovation Office at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency; plus leading industry experts such as Dr. Kevin Charest (chief information security officer at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services) and Rod Turk (director of the Office of Cyber Security and Chief Information Security Officer Office of the Chief Information Officer Department of Commerce).

This day-long event will feature multiple panel discussions covering big data issues in government, cyber security, and risk management for the cloud. The panel discussion led by Mr. Fantuzzi will focus on the emerging need for organizations to look beyond cloud service outages and conduct risk assessments that entail the analysis of cloud service providers’ security controls in near real time. The panelists will be Jerry Archer, senior vice president and chief security officer at Sallie Mae; Mark Morrison, senior vice president and chief information security officer at State Street; and Simon Crosby, chief technology officer at Bromium. The session is scheduled for Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 10:45 a.m. at the National Press Club.
