Fairchild Unveils Why It’s the Best Power Management Company to Work with at APEC 2014

At APEC 2014, Fairchild’s highly regarded power experts will present innovative new products and design solutions that make it the best company to work with in the power management field.

As part of this transformation, Fairchild will unveil a new company logo and deliver an updated company strategy at a special event, on March 18th at 4:30pm, in Hall D in the Fort Worth Convention Center. Fairchild technologists will be available in booth #905 to discuss and showcase the latest power management solutions intended to meet critical design challenges in lighting, DC-DC conversion, industrial power and motion control.

Energy Savings:

Motor control – Integrated and discrete semiconductor device solutions for consumer and industrial motor control applications.

Energy Distribution:

Smart meter – Smart meter solutions that monitor energy use and then relay the information to the utility, by either a wired or wireless interface.

Power over Ethernet (PoE) – PoE solutions that improve conduction losses and overall efficiency of the conventional diode bridge providing a ten-fold improvement in power dissipation in compact active bridge applications.

Power Grid – Fairchild enables energy efficient system solutions by helping to create efficient building blocks. The DC Grid application applies MPPT, PSM, DC-DC conversion, PFC, lighting, motor control and a smart meter solution using Fairchild's components.

Energy Conversion:

Smart power stage – Fairchild’s smart power stage (SPS) module family – an ultra-compact, integrated MOSFET plus driver power stage solution leveraging Fairchild’s DrMOS expertise to deliver high efficiency, high power density and high switching frequency.

Charger solutions – Small form factor solutions with high switching frequency, combined with low standby power and high operating efficiency, enabling charger applications to meet stringent standby power consumption regulations.

LED lighting – Discussions on power conditioning, power conversion and load control solutions for LED lighting applications from 3 W – 200 W, including dimmable, non-dimmable, isolated, non-isolated, single and multi-string reference designs.
