Capital Insurance Group Announces Warren G. Bender Co. as Sacramento Agency of the Year for 2013

MONTEREY, Calif., March 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Capital Insurance Group® (CIG) has selected Warren G. Bender Co. as the Sacramento Area Agency of the Year. CIG created the long-standing award in order to recognize top agencies based upon yearly business performance and customer service.

Founded in 1938, Warren G. Bender Co. (WGBCO) is one of the largest independently owned agencies in the Sacramento area, with a reach beyond its home base in Roseville, CA. The WGBCO team works to fulfill its mission of "providing protection, superior service and education to those who matter most, our customers." Main areas of focus include commercial and personal insurance, surety and bonds, claims management and loss control. The company was recently a finalist in the Sacramento Business Journal's "A+ Employers Award" and has been a partner with CIG since 2002.

"We are fiercely proud of WGBCO's values, history and accomplishments, and are excited about our future growth and service opportunities," said Stephen Bender, President, CEO and Chairman of Warren G. Bender Co. "Our next generation of ownership is a blend of both family and non-family talent who are working together for a successful and robust future."

Each year, Capital Insurance Group presents an Agency of the Year award to one agency in each of its regions. CIG Regional Management selects top performing agencies for consideration by the executive team. A committee of CIG executives evaluates and selects an honoree from these top candidates.

"Warren G. Bender Co. had another year of profitable growth with CIG in 2013," reported Jeff Batozech, Regional Field Executive for CIG's Northern California Region. "Our relationship continues to grow with this family-owned regional powerhouse. By working closely with agency principals and their team of talented professionals, we continue to find new opportunities to grow our businesses profitably in all of CIG's products and lines of business."

"Our closely-aligned values of providing excellent products, backed by top tier services, makes working with the Bender agency a pleasure rather than an effort," said Peter Cazzolla, President and CEO of Capital Insurance Group. "We look forward to continuing our growth and relationship development with the Warren G. Bender Co."
