Analyst report highlights the potential of Nominum's N2 suite to increase customer retention, engagement and loyalty for CSPs

REDWOOD CITY, CALIFORNIA -- (Marketwired) -- 03/11/14 -- Nominum™, the innovation leader in DNS and Internet Activity applications for Communication Service Providers (CSPs), has been recognized for the quality and immediacy of insights provided by its N2 application suite by analyst firm Ovum in its prestigious On the Radar (OTR) report.

On the Radar recognizes companies and products that provide unique and innovative services to CSPs. In its new report, the company focuses on Nominum's recently launched N2 suite of applications, which enable CSPs to increase customer retention, engagement and loyalty by leveraging Internet Activity data from the DNS to provide relevant messages and offers to subscribers.

The N2 suite - comprising N2 Care, N2 Engage and N2 Promote - provides CSP marketing and customer care teams with the opportunity to target subscribers with relevant in-browser messages, based on subscribers' recent Internet Activity, all in real time.

Sanjay Kapoor, SVP Business Strategy and CMO, Nominum, said: "The OTR report recognizes the importance of Nominum's N2 application suite and the potential of DNS data to enhance CSPs' relationships with customers. By deploying this lightweight solution, CSPs can harness a wealth of insight using a resource they already have in place - the DNS."

Clare McCarthy, Practice Leader, Ovum, said: "What differentiates Nominum from its competitors is the immediacy of the insights and actions it provides to CSPs and the extent of its applications suite. Its capabilities map well to CSPs' need to provide secure and robust interaction, build loyalty and trust in their customer base and enhance lifetime customer value."

The explosion of new web/cloud/IoT-based applications and the data they generate are transforming our world right before our eyes. In this rush to adopt these new technologies, organizations are often ignoring fundamental questions concerning who owns the data and failing to ask for permission to conduct invasive surveillance of their customers. Organizations that are not transparent about how their systems gather data telemetry without offering shared data ownership risk product rejection, regu...

When building large, cloud-based applications that operate at a high scale, it's important to maintain a high availability and resilience to failures. In order to do that, you must be tolerant of failures, even in light of failures in other areas of your application. "Fly two mistakes high" is an old adage in the radio control airplane hobby. It means, fly high enough so that if you make a mistake, you can continue flying with room to still make mistakes. In his session at 18th Cloud Expo, Le...
When talking IoT we often focus on the devices, the sensors, the hardware itself. The new smart appliances, the new smart or self-driving cars (which are amalgamations of many ‘things'). When we are looking at the world of IoT, we should take a step back, look at the big picture. What value are these devices providing. IoT is not about the devices, its about the data consumed and generated. The devices are tools, mechanisms, conduits. This paper discusses the considerations when dealing with the...
