CALGARY, ALBERTA -- (Marketwired) -- 03/11/14 -- Builders Capital Mortgage Corp. (TSX VENTURE:BCF) ("Builders Capital" or the "Company") announced today that it has appointed Victor P. Harwardt, BA, LLB, to its Board of Directors.
Mr. Harwardt, a partner with the Vancouver law firm of Salley, Bowes, Harwardt LC, has over 25 years of experience in the practice of law. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts, with distinction, from the University of Calgary and, in 1982, a Bachelor of Laws from the University of British Columbia and was thereafter admitted to the Law Society of British Columbia in 1984. Mr. Harwardt's preferred areas of practice are securities, corporate finance and corporate and commercial law. He represents companies in the natural resource and technology sectors and assists them in a variety of matters including public and private equity financings, stock exchange listings, mergers, acquisitions and other corporate combinations. A significant element of his practice is international in scope. Mr. Harwardt has served as a director or senior officer of publicly listed companies and his appointment as a Director of Builders Capital is welcomed by the other members of the Board.
