Olivia Hsu Decker Recognized As One Of The 100 Most Influential People In The San Francisco Bay Area By Haute Living Magazine

MILL VALLEY, Calif., March 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Olivia Hsu Decker, founder and co-owner of the prominent Decker Bullock Sotheby's International Realty has been featured in Haute Living magazine as one the 100 most powerful people in the San Francisco Bay Area. She is the only person on the list from the real estate industry.

Known as the "Annual Haute 100," the coveted list showcases the most prominent billionaires, business leaders, power couples, philanthropists, innovators, athletes, commanders and entrepreneurs whose accomplishments and actions are most significant and influential in their respective industries. Ms. Decker was born in Shanghai, China, grew up in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Japan and immigrated to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1976 to work for Grand Hyatt Hotel on Union Square. In the 1980s she was the #1 agent nationwide at Merrill Lynch Realty.  She launched Decker Bullock Realty in 1991, affiliated with Sotheby's International Realty in 2007 and her company has now grown to include six offices with 130 agents.

Ms. Decker is known for working with the most affluent clientele in the Bay Area and worldwide. She specializes in luxury homes valued from $5 million to over $35 million and luxury boutique hotels, she offers a strategic and unique marketing approach unmatched within the industry. She has been featured in dozens of publications and speaks at various real estate conferences around the world.  A 1988 Wall Street Journal profile on Ms. Decker states, "If you have a very expensive home to sell, her name comes to mind before anyone else's..... She understands your wants and needs better than anyone."

Besides representing clients, Ms. Decker owned a villa in Italy, the historical Chateau Grimaldi in South of France and the prestigious Chateau Villette near Paris featured in The Da Vinci Code book and movie. She operated them as vacation retreats and event locations before she sold them. Currently she owns homes in Belvedere (San Francisco) and London. Ms. Decker earned her reputation as one of the top leading luxury agents in the world. She has handled properties worth over $2 billion in the last 3 decades, with more than $200 million in sales in 2013 alone including a $48 million luxury boutique hotel in Positano, Italy.
