AMSTERDAM, March 12, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Cable Congress - Unitymedia KabelBW GmbH ("Unitymedia KabelBW"), part of Liberty Global and a leading cable operator in Germany, has deployed the E6000 Converged Edge Router (CER) from ARRIS Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: ARRS), enabling the service provider to deliver 1 Gbps capacity to its customers for enhanced broadband data and entertainment services.
The ARRIS E6000 CER is a Converged Cable Access Platform (CCAP) that has been deployed worldwide and now provides service to over 2 million subscribers. Consumers demand more content, at faster speeds and on more connected devices. The CCAP platform from ARRIS enables cable operators to scale to these challenges, while meeting the demand for more high-quality content anytime, on any device wherever they are.
