Bulk TV & Internet Delivers Resident-Friendly TV Solution to Consulate Health Care Centers

RALEIGH, N.C., March 12, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Bulk TV & Internet (Bulk TV), a leading provider of television solutions for healthcare properties nationwide announces their partnership with Consulate Health Care to provide services to more than 20 of their healthcare and rehabilitation care centers. Bulk TV's customized television solution delivers DIRECTV programming without the use of additional equipment in the patient rooms, ensuring that patients receive the most enjoyable entertainment experience available.

In the wake of the widespread digital transition in cable-viewing areas across the country, cable providers are mandating that many Consulate care centers install set-top boxes, with complicated remotes in each resident's room. In some cases, service was threatened by channel outages. Bulk TV was able to accommodate and install a custom-built TV system for these properties within as little as one week in order to avoid service disruptions to residents. Bulk TV's solution eliminates the need for a set-top box at every TV and delivers the programming over the center's existing cabling. Residents are able to enjoy all of their favorite shows simply using a standard TV remote.

"Consulate Health Care has a long history of patient-centered care; in order for us to make our patients as comfortable during their stays with us as possible, we have to be sure to provide top-notch television services," says Mark Crandall, CIO of Consulate Health Care. "Bulk TV's responsiveness and flexible, cost-effective offerings have proven to work very well for bringing these important services to our care centers."

Consulate Health Care is one of the nation's leading providers of healthcare services and the industry's largest service provider in the state of Florida, specializing in post-acute rehabilitative care. Operating more than 200 centers in 21 states, Consulate offers services ranging from short-term transitional care to Alzheimer's and dementia care. As a leader in short-term programs, Consulate is focused on getting patients home faster by providing individualized services to meet the needs of each patient. To help deliver on their vision of patient-centered care, Bulk TV works with each care center to create a personalized TV solution to satisfy their individual needs. Each care center is able to select their own channel line-up and provide 40-45 of the most popular channels based on the demographic of their patients.

"We're looking forward to continuing our relationship with Consulate Health Care to provide exceptional television services," said James Jessel, Vice President of Sales for Bulk TV & Internet. "This agreement further demonstrates our commitment to providing enhanced DIRECTV solutions that not only meet each center's needs, but also provide the scalability to provide additional features and options for residents and patients."

To ensure that all standards and distribution requirements are met, Bulk TV has dedicated a team to meticulously manage the Consulate deployments. Bulk TV's technical support team conducted site surveys for all of the properties prior to deployment, which reduced the risk of unforeseen issues and unexpected costs to the customer post installation.

In addition to Consulate, Bulk TV also has relationships with other notable healthcare groups nationally. Bulk TV not only provides DIRECTV's satellite TV programming, but also Internet and phone solutions. For more information, please visit www.BulkTV.com.

The cloud has transformed how we think about software quality. Instead of preventing failures, we must focus on automatic recovery from failure.
