PHILADELPHIA, March 12, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Asia Tigers Fund, Inc. (the "Fund") (NYSE: GRR) (the "Fund") announced today that the Special Meeting of Stockholders, with respect to the proposal to eliminate the interval fund structure, a fundamental policy of the Fund, has been adjourned to Friday, April 4, 2014 to permit the solicitation of additional votes.
The proposal to eliminate the interval fund structure is outlined in the Fund's proxy statement dated December 11, 2013. Stockholders are strongly encouraged to vote by proxy, which is customary in stockholder meetings of this kind. You may also vote by calling 1-800-337-3503.
The Special Meeting of Stockholders will reconvene on Friday, April 4, 2014 at the offices of Aberdeen Asset Management Inc., 712 Fifth Avenue, 49th Floor (entrance on 56th Street), New York, New York 10019 at 10:30 a.m., New York time.
