Madison Square Garden, the World's Most Famous Arena, opened in 1964 and has been the home to numerous blockbuster events in music, entertainment and sports ever since. The facility will add another event to its list of top shows in their history on July 17 when Queen and Adam Lambert take the stage together as part of their 19-date North American tour. The tour could be the final one for the English rock band on North American soil, so this tour and especially this stop are must-see for diehard fans.

Madison Square Garden, the home of the New York Knicks of the National Basketball Association and New York Rangers of the National Hockey League has seen many memorable concert stops over the years. Some of the best artists in the music business have performed there including George Harrison, Elvis Presley, The Police, Elton John, John Lennon, Michael Jackson and many other popular stars performed on the Garden stage. The facility can seat 20,000 fans for concerts and will need each of those seats when Lambert and Queen play there.

Lambert came into the music business in 2009 when he was a contestant on American Idol. Lambert didn't leave the show as the winner, but his second place finish still warranted a record deal. Months later, his debut album For Your Entertainment was released and has since sold more than 830,000 copies and has been certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America. The album peaked at the No. 3 spot on the American charts. His follow up album, Trespassing, was released in 2012 and opened at the No. 1 spot on the Billboard charts. With that album, he became the first openly gay superstar to reach that position.

For the legendary rock group Queen, live shows are where they stand out. They have released 16 studio albums, six live albums and 12 compilation albums that have helped them gain fans around the world. They have released 62 singles that have aided in their album sales to the point where depending on who is asked, have included anywhere from 150 million to 300 million total. When Queen performs live with Lambert in the place of original lead singer Freddie Mercury, it won't be their first show together. They performed on Idol and were one of the most talked about performances of the 2013 iHeart Radio Music Festival.

In the world of DevOps there are ‘known good practices’ – aka ‘patterns’ – and ‘known bad practices’ – aka ‘anti-patterns.' Many of these patterns and anti-patterns have been developed from real world experience, especially by the early adopters of DevOps theory; but many are more feasible in theory than in practice, especially for more recent entrants to the DevOps scene. In this power panel at @DevOpsSummit at 18th Cloud Expo, moderated by DevOps Conference Chair Andi Mann, panelists will dis...
See storage differently! Storage performance problems have only gotten worse and harder to solve as applications have become largely virtualized and moved to a cloud-based infrastructure. Storage performance in a virtualized environment is not just about IOPS, it is about how well that potential performance is guaranteed to individual VMs for these apps as the number of VMs keep going up real time. Up until last year, enterprises that were looking into cloud services usually undertook a long-term pilot with one of the large cloud providers, running test and dev workloads in the cloud. With cloud’s transition to mainstream adoption in 2015, and with enterprises migrating more and more workloads into the cloud and in between public and private environments, the single-provider approach must be revisited.
