Red Rose Ball at Jacksonville Marriott Raises $380,000 for Heart Smart Program

JACKSONVILLE, FL -- (Marketwired) -- 03/13/14 -- February 14th is all about showing love, from thoughtful cards to sparkling jewels. This past Valentine's Day, the Jacksonville Marriott connected with the local community to show their love in a different way -- by helping raise money for St. Vincent's Healthcare.

This full-service Jacksonville hotel was honored to host the 33rd Annual St. Vincent's Foundation Red Rose Ball, a yearly event that raises money for various St. Vincent's Healthcare projects. This year's event raised more than $380,000. Funds will be used for St. Vincent's Healthcare's Heart Smart, a community program that promotes a heart-healthy lifestyle by providing participants with the tools they need for a healthy body and mind to reduce risk factors and prevent heart disease.

Offering a full range of services, this Jacksonville, FL hotel was able to beautifully execute the Casablanca-themed event, which hosted a sold-out crowd of 500 guests. Throughout the evening, visitors bid on hundreds of auction items, danced to live music by KTG and enjoyed an elegant three-course dinner.
