FORT WORTH, Texas, March 13, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Independent insurance brokers Higginbotham and Edgmon Insurance Agency today announced the merger of their operations. Higginbotham is a leading insurance and financial services firm with more than 20 locations in Texas that is in expansion mode by partnering with other brokers in the state that add to its geographic scale and service capabilities. The union with Edgmon Insurance extends Higginbotham's reach to Odessa, Texas, through a firm with deep roots and a strong reputation in the community.
Edgmon Insurance is a family-owned agency going on its third generation. Founded in 1986 by Pauline Appel, the agency was purchased by her son Tim Edgmon in 1996 and began operating under its current name. Mr. Edgmon works with his wife Theresa, their son Ryan, daughter Amanda Owens and a staff of seven providing commercial and personal lines of property/casualty insurance.
