SARASOTA, FL -- (Marketwired) -- 03/14/14 -- Looking at the most recent trends in cosmetic surgery, it seems that fat does not have to be a problem, but that it can rather be part of the solution. How? By using fat instead of synthetic fillers to even out facial wrinkles. When it comes to fighting wrinkles in the face, there are generally two different approaches -- Botox and dermal filler. Choosing one procedure over the other depends on the type of wrinkles that needs to be addressed. So-called "dynamic" wrinkles, which are caused by muscle movement, respond well to Botox. The bototulinum toxin that is used for this procedure temporarily impairs the nerve functioning of the muscle, thus preventing it from causing wrinkles. Dermal fillers on the other hand address "static" wrinkles, which are visible even when the face is relaxed and at rest. They plump up the tissue, giving the face a smoother and more youthful appearance.
For the latter technique, various fillers are available, such as hyaluronic acid fillers like Restylane or collagen fillers like Cosmoplast. More and more common though is a technique called fat grafting, in which fat is taken out at one part of the body and then injected into the target areas, most commonly around the eyes or to even out the folds around mouth and nose. One of the advantages compared to synthetic fillers is the fact, that body fat seems to last longer. Dr. Sessa of Sarasota Surgical Arts in Florida explains: "The nice thing about fat grafting is that you lose a portion of it, but whatever you keep, you keep pretty much for your life. As long as it gets revascularized properly, it's part of your tissue again."
Dermal filling is a highly effective solution to reduce wrinkles without requiring surgery. Dr. Sessa offers several next-generation treatments for the reduction or elimination of facial wrinkles. The procedure is quick, almost pain free and considerably cheaper than surgery. And fat grafting does not have to be limited to the face. The latest trend is natural breast augmentation, which uses a woman's fat cells, which can be collected from the thighs or tummy, instead of saline or silicone to increase her breast size by up to one cup. Fat grafting can also be an alternative to help reconstructing a breast after lumpectomy or mastectomy, and to disguise the edges or rippling of existing silicone gel and saline implants.
For more information about fat grafting procedures, contact Dr. Alberico Sessa of Sarasota Surgical Arts, who has extensive experience in the various drafting and filling techniques and can help you to determine which option is best suited for you. Dr. Alberico Sessa graduated from University of Connecticut in 1997 and has earned his medical degree from Louisiana State University College of Medicine in 2000. Following his residency at Louisiana State University, New Orleans he went on to specialize in facial and full body cosmetic surgery. Over the next few days I had many more meaningful conversations and was not only happy with the results but also learned a few new things. Here is everything I learned in those three days distilled into three short points.

DevOps is about increasing efficiency, but nothing is more inefficient than building the same application twice. However, this is a routine occurrence with enterprise applications that need both a rich desktop web interface and strong mobile support. With recent technological advances from Isomorphic Software and others, rich desktop and tuned mobile experiences can now be created with a single codebase – without compromising functionality, performance or usability. In his session at DevOps Su...
