According to the Company, the shares were sold at a price to the public of $5.74 per share for gross proceeds of approximately $22.4 million. Plug Power informed that the shares were placed with a single investor and that Cowen and Company, LLC acted as the sole underwriter for the offering. The net proceeds, after underwriting discounts and commissions and other estimated fees and expenses payable by Plug Power, were approximately $21.5 million, which the Company intends to use for working capital and other general corporate purposes, including capital expenditures. (NeuStar) announced that the US Department of Commerce has awarded the Company the contract to continue administering the .US Top Level Domain (TLD), the official country code domain of the United States. The Company said that it has successfully administered this critical domain since 2001, when the Department of Commerce first selected Neustar to build and manage the new domain.
