CHICAGO and PHOENIX, March 14, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Now consumers everywhere will have more Red Cup Living products to help celebrate life together. Today at the International Housewares Show in Chicago, Red Cup Living®, a lifestyle company and the original inventor of the reusable version of America's favorite red party cup, unveiled three new products to extend its popular line, including the industry's first insulated red cup tumbler.

Based on customer demand and designed with Red Cup Living's highest quality standards, the new products include a 20 oz. Insulated Tumbler, Slim Magnetic Bottle Opener, as well as the new 24 oz. sized Tumbler with a lid and straw in 6 fresh pops of color.

"As the originators of the reusable red cup, we are thrilled with the demand we have seen over the last two years and the continued expansion of our lifestyle brand and products," said Michael Romley, CEO and co-founder of Red Cup Living.  "We provide the highest quality products on the market and will continue to pioneer the housewares, gift and entertainment industry by creating new products that represent the epitome of good times and great memories with friends, family and neighbors."

Modeled after the iconic red cup that has become a universal symbol for "fun", Red Cup Living products help bring people together in a creative way that inspires tradition. They also are reusable, making them eco-friendly for entertaining and great gifts for anyone who likes to throw a tailgate, barbeque or party.

Kathryn Romley, co-founder and chief marketing officer added, "Warm weather brings with it more opportunities for people to come together.  Whether it is a patio party, barbeque, time in the pool or at the beach, tailgating, camping, boating or even just hanging out, Red Cup Living has products that suit any of these fun gatherings. We could not be more passionate about playing a role in inspiring others to get together to create great memories than with our expanded product line and growth."

Red Cup Living started with a red cup and a desire to form closer relationships with neighbors.  The founders, a husband and wife team, wanted to see their neighborhood more connected, so they built a large front yard patio and started having casual "patio parties". Anyone in the neighborhood is invited to stop by for a red cup and conversation.  No formal invites—just a get together. After a few months they were amazed how it brought people closer together, formed new friendships and helped bring a sense of community to the neighborhood.  All this happened while having a lot of fun.  As a result, Red Cup Living was created with the vision to share the Red Cup Living lifestyle and philosophy with the rest of the world.

Developing software for the Internet of Things (IoT) comes with its own set of challenges. Security, privacy, and unified standards are a few key issues. In addition, each IoT product is comprised of (at least) three separate application components: the software embedded in the device, the back-end service, and the mobile application for the end user’s controls. Each component is developed by a different team, using different technologies and practices, and deployed to a different stack/target –...
