The outdoor event will feature a festival of food, drinks, live entertainment and the Mississippi Gulf Coast's first Kansas City Barbecue Society-sanctioned competition.

Representing the Mississippi championship for KCBS, 'Que at the View will be held on Friday, April 4 and Saturday, April 5 on the grounds of Island View, located in Gulfport, Miss. on 40 acres bordering the Gulf of Mexico.

The event will begin with the sanctioned contest on Friday, with more than 30 teams competing for the state KCBS title and more than $15,000 in cash and prizes. Guests are invited to observe the teams in action on April 4 from 6 to 9 p.m.
