PROS® (NYSE: PRO), a big data software company, today announced its participation in the 25th annual Professional Pricing Society (PPS) workshops and conference. The PPS spring event, scheduled April 29-May 4, will be held at Chicago’s InterContinental O’Hare Hotel. PROS plans to spotlight the breadth of its product folio, including its enterprise product platform of pricing, sales effectiveness and rebate solutions; Step, a big data application designed for mid-size companies; and CPQ solutions from Cameleon Software, a PROS company.
PROS Strategic Consultant Charles Sweeney will lead a conference breakout titled “Optimizing Value Through the Channel” in the “Pricing Experts” track on May 2 at 1:00 p.m. CDT. He will offer a systematic process for understanding how to gain and maintain pricing power strategies with channel partners. Sweeney will provide a framework that helps participants move beyond gut feel, anecdotal insights and historical precedent, toward a channel structure and strategy based on quantified value and deep insights.
“We always appreciate the opportunity to gather with customers, partners and thought leaders who regularly attend the PPS conferences,” said PROS Chief Marketing Officer Tim Girgenti. “More companies are recognizing that technology is fast becoming a must-have to outperform peers when it comes to the discipline of pricing. The market is moving faster, product portfolios are expanding, competition is increasing, sales channels are more demanding, and market volatility continues. All of this puts more pressure on pricing teams to deliver better results. We look forward to sharing best practices on how to make pricing easier, faster and smarter.”
