Enservio and Symbility Partner to Offer Integrated Claims Solution

Combined Solution Reduces Time-to-Resolution for Both Structural and Contents Claims

INDIANAPOLIS, IN -- (Marketwired) -- 03/17/14 -- (PLRB Conference, Booth #539) -- Enservio and Symbility today announced a partnership agreement integrating Enservio's contents claims valuation software with Symbility's structural estimating cloud and mobile products. The combined solution creates a single sign-on, best-of-breed claims settlement application that empowers adjusters to estimate and process both contents and structural claims in a more streamlined fashion. Joint customers benefit from a greatly reduced time-to-resolution on property claims while adjusters can realize improved productivity gains and faster customer settlements.

Symbility Solutions Inc. ® (TSX VENTURE: SY) (OTCQX: ATBEF) is a provider of cloud-based and smartphone/tablet-enabled claims technology using the most comprehensive data for the P&C insurance industry. Enservio, Inc. is a provider of contents inventory, valuation, and payment services that allow property insurers to price policies correctly upfront and settle contents claims quickly and accurately.

As part of the agreement, Enservio's ContentsExpress™ application and its rich contents database of over 8 million retail products will be integrated with Symbility's robust suite of collaborative cloud-based claims solutions.

ContentsExpress enables adjusters to collect and review insured inventories, receipts, and photos, adjust contents estimates, and issue contents settlement reports. Adjusters get immediate access to pricing data on millions of consumer items to arrive at the most accurate valuations possible, driving an optimal settlement experience which improves customer loyalty.

"Enservio is the gold-standard for contents estimating. By integrating our respective platforms, adjusters can deploy a single cloud-based application for both contents and structural estimating," said James Swayze, CEO, Symbility Solutions. "This integration will greatly increase efficiencies and accelerate the settlement process, leading to increased customer satisfaction."

"We're thrilled that our long-standing relationship with Symbility has resulted in the decision to embed Enservio into Symbility's innovative claim settlement platform," said Enservio CEO Jon McNeill. "Customers and prospects have been demanding an integrated estimating and workflow solution for years. This relationship helps carriers more efficiently service their customers and is a positive development in advancing the industry."

It is ironic, but perhaps not unexpected, that many organizations who want the benefits of using an Agile approach to deliver software use a waterfall approach to adopting Agile practices: they form plans, they set milestones, and they measure progress by how many teams they have engaged. Old habits die hard, but like most waterfall software projects, most waterfall-style Agile adoption efforts fail to produce the results desired. The problem is that to get the results they want, they have to ch...
Organizations planning enterprise data center consolidation and modernization projects are faced with a challenging, costly reality. For far too long technology teams have lived in siloes. Not only physical siloes, but cultural siloes pushed by competing objectives. This includes informational siloes where business users require one set of data and tech teams require different data. More and more brands have jumped on the IoT bandwagon. We have an excess of wearables – activity trackers, smartwatches, smart glasses and sneakers, and more that track seemingly endless datapoints. However, most consumers have no idea what “IoT” means. Creating more wearables that track data shouldn't be the aim of brands; delivering meaningful, tangible relevance to their users should be. We're in a period in which the IoT pendulum is still swinging. Initially, it swung toward "smart for smart...
