TORONTO, March 17, 2014 /CNW/ - Mettrum, a licensed producer under Health Canada's Marihuana for Medical Purposes Regulations, is pleased to announce the launch of Mettrum Red N° 4. This is the fifth Mettrum product to become available since the company began taking orders and shipping to clients in January.
The "Red" product line is the strongest offering in the Mettrum Spectrum™, with THC levels of 17% and higher. Mettrum Red N° 4 is an Indica/Sativa Hybrid with 18.4% THC and .3% CBD. The company will have at least twelve products available for shipping by June 2014.
"I am very proud of the progress we have made in such a short timeframe, however our work is not done. We are committed to offering every category of the Mettrum Spectrum™ to our valued clients by June", said Michael Haines, Mettrum's CEO. "We're now in full production and harvesting rooms every week, ensuring a consistent, reliable supply of strains for our clients."
The Mettrum Spectrum™ is a colour coding system designed to simplify the dialogue around medical cannabis strength and dosage, so health care professionals consulting with their patients, and Mettrum's customer service representatives may more confidently recommend strains that may be appropriate for specific medical conditions. The Mettrum Spectrum™ includes six categories based on THC and CBD profiles.
The company also launched its Mettrum 30/30 Assisted Pricing Program. Under the program, clients who qualify for provincial or federal income assistance, or have annual income below $30,000, can receive a 30% discount on the first 30 grams of medical marijuana they purchase each month.
Mettrum Ltd. is an agri-pharma company licensed by Health Canada under the new Marihuana for Medical Purposes Regulations program, which comes into full effect on April 1, 2014. The company is committed to ongoing research, regulatory compliance, and defining and incorporating industry best practices throughout the production process at its state-of-the-art, medical-grade facility to ensure clients receive consistent, high-quality, pharmaceutical-grade medical cannabis consistent with Health Canada regulations.
