Rovi Corporation (NASDAQ: ROVI), a global leader in entertainment discovery, today announced that Grundig, one of the world’s leading home electronics brands, has enhanced its line of LED TVs with Rovi technologies and services for entertainment discovery and monetization. The two companies signed agreements for the use of Rovi TotalGuide CE and Rovi Advertising products in Grundig LED TVs distributed in Germany, the Nordic region, Western Europe, Turkey, and Russia.

Rovi TotalGuide CE, accessible through the “Guide” button on Grundig TV remote controls, is designed to increase entertainment consumption and consumer satisfaction. The advanced discovery solution combines Rovi entertainment metadata to offer descriptive editorial, plot overviews, credits, trailers, celebrity profiles and more, with TV listings information, and sophisticated search and recommendations capabilities. The solution enables consumers to find the entertainment content that interests them across a range of sources including broadcast programming, premium over-the-top (OTT) entertainment and catch-up TV. Rovi Advertising generates an ongoing revenue stream through the integration of advanced display and video campaigns within the user interface of consumer electronics devices that are designed to engage and entertain consumers while they are actively searching for content to watch. Rovi handles the entire ad process for CE clients – from global sales and creative ad development, through campaign delivery and analysis. The Rovi Advertising service also provides Grundig a vehicle to promote its own products and services as well as those of its partners.
