About MedCurrent Corporation

MedCurrent (www.medcurrent.com) develops medical appropriateness decision support systems that provide information to physicians at the point of care to facilitate their ordering of the most medically appropriate procedures. Using rule criteria adopted by leading clinical associations, as well as tools for organizations to create their own rules, these solutions help health care payers and providers improve patient care, avoid unnecessary procedures, reduce inappropriate utilization and unnecessary radiation exposure, and mitigate costs. The company sells direct to payers, providers and partners including EMR, HIS or PHR vendors.

OrderRightTM

MedCurrent’s first specialty product, OrderRightTM for Radiology, provides patient-specific appropriate imaging information to ordering physicians to guide them in their imaging choices for their patients. OrderRightTM shortens waiting times and reduces costs for high-tech imaging procedures (e.g. CT, MRI, PET), and reduces the total amount of radiation that a patient receives over their lifetime. MedCurrent has started with radiology, but the system is designed to be extensible to manage clinical appropriateness for any medical specialty.

In the world of DevOps there are ‘known good practices’ – aka ‘patterns’ – and ‘known bad practices’ – aka ‘anti-patterns.' Many of these patterns and anti-patterns have been developed from real world experience, especially by the early adopters of DevOps theory; but many are more feasible in theory than in practice, especially for more recent entrants to the DevOps scene. In this power panel at @DevOpsSummit at 18th Cloud Expo, moderated by DevOps Conference Chair Andi Mann, panelists will dis...
See storage differently! Storage performance problems have only gotten worse and harder to solve as applications have become largely virtualized and moved to a cloud-based infrastructure. Storage performance in a virtualized environment is not just about IOPS, it is about how well that potential performance is guaranteed to individual VMs for these apps as the number of VMs keep going up real time. In his session at 18th Cloud Expo, Dhiraj Sehgal, in product and marketing at Tintri, will discu...
