Primero Added to NYSE Arca Gold Miners Index

TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 03/18/14 -- Primero Mining Corp. ("Primero" or the "Company") (TSX: P)(NYSE: PPP) is pleased to announce that the Company will be included in the NYSE Arca Gold Miners Index (GDM), the preeminent index covering the gold mining industry and the S&P/TSX Equal Weight Global Gold Index, a subset of the S&P/TSX Global Gold Index.

The NYSE Arca Gold Miners Index is tracked by the Market Vectors Gold Miners Index ETF (GDX). Inclusion in the index will be effective after the close of trading on Friday, March 21, 2014. The NYSE Arca Gold Miners Index is comprised of publicly traded companies primarily involved in the mining of gold and silver in locations around the world. The effective date of the inclusion for the S&P/TSX Equal Weight Global Gold Index is also March 21, 2014.
