Courion Partners with Ping Identity to Offer Unified Intelligent Identity and Access Management

Courion, a leading provider of intelligent identity and access management solutions, and Ping Identity ®, The Identity Security Company™, today announced a formal agreement that enables Courion to resell Ping Identity products. The agreement allows Courion to provide a jointly-integrated, holistic solution for managing user identities and access to resources in the cloud and across the traditional on-premises enterprise.

The use of cloud-based applications, smart phones and tablets is commonplace in most organizations. As a result, perimeter security has become more porous, yet IT is still responsible for managing access and minimizing risk across both worlds.

“Whether it is in the cloud or on premises, users must be quickly and properly authenticated and gain access. IT, meanwhile, is still responsible for managing the risk of that access and maintaining governance and compliance. Organizations should have a consistent set of identity controls across the cloud and traditional enterprise, rather than a separate process for the cloud,” said Kurt Johnson, Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development for Courion. “This relationship will enable Courion to offer a single, comprehensive, integrated best-of-breed IAM solution across the hybrid enterprise.”

Courion and Ping Identity have worked together for several years. This partnership formalizes the evolution of that relationship and demonstrates Courion’s ability to provide customers with a single source for purchase and support of the combined set of mutual solutions.

“Cloud and mobile have changed the requirements for identity and access management. Traditional solutions are too slow to implement and nearly impossible to scale,” said Mike Desai, Vice President of Business Development and Channels, Ping Identity. “We are pleased to have Courion as a partner to offer our products alongside their Identity and Access Governance offering to deliver a joint solution that meets today’s identity requirements.”

Courion provides identity and access management solutions that uniquely leverage the big data of identity and access in an enterprise to provide insight that informs and improves provisioning capabilities and enables continuous compliance. With this partnership Courion will resell PingFederate® and PingOne® to new and existing customers. More than 600 companies rely on Courion solutions to help them quickly and accurately provide access to users while identifying and minimizing risk.
