Cegedim Relationship Management Announces Latest Release of AggregateSpend360™ to Address Recent US Sunshine Requirements, Including Two-Phased Reporting

The solution has been updated to address the most recent changes made to the US Sunshine requirements, including the two-phased submission approach for the first reporting deadline, defined by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).

Complying with the Sunshine Act represents a huge undertaking for the Life Sciences community. Moreover, the transparency promoted by the regulation now extends to the public arena - with CMS publishing Healthcare Practitioner (HCP) transaction data online for public viewing beginning no later than September 30, 2014.

Customer-Centric Innovations to a Best-in-Class Solution

AggregateSpend360 enables companies worldwide to transform the requirement of transparency compliance into an essential, value-generating business advantage. While the solution’s previous version prepared companies for data collection starting last August, CMS has made a number of updates and clarifications to the requirements since that time. As a result, Cegedim has updated the prebuilt Sunshine template to empower companies with the ability to more accurately submit automated compliance reports in time for the March 31st (phase 1) deadline, as well as the detailed submission (phase 2) beginning in May.

Cegedim has also added new functionality to the Physician Review Portal within AggregateSpend360 - providing companies with an enhanced opportunity to share transaction data with HCPs before submitting to CMS. This feature provides Cegedim customers with the critical advantage of better relationship-building. In a recent Cegedim survey of over 500 U.S. physicians, 85% of respondents cited that they would like to review data before it is available to the public. Additional updates to AggregateSpend360 include template updates for compliance requirements in UK, France, Netherlands and Slovakia.
