Microsoft has honored HMB’s Jared Faris with its prestigious Most Valuable Professional (MVP) Award for the role he has played in advancing, applying and sharing his knowledge of technology. Faris, who is HMB’s Microsoft Practice Director, was particularly recognized for his contributions to Internet Explorer technology communities.
“Jared’s contributions to the Microsoft communities is just one example of how he shares his knowledge to help businesses optimize their use of technology,” said Tom Harris, CEO of HMB. “We are proud that Microsoft has recognized his expertise and commitment to developing business technology solutions.”
The MVP award was created by Microsoft to honor highly exceptional, independent community leaders who actively share their passion, technical expertise and real-world knowledge of Microsoft products with others. Faris joins an elite group of only a few thousand other professionals around the world who have been recognized with the Microsoft MVP Award.
“Microsoft MVPs are, without question, the thought leaders of the software industry related to Microsoft products,” explained Jeff Blankenburg, senior program manager for Microsoft. “They not only help the technical community understand how to use what is currently available, they are also trusted advisors of Microsoft for what the future should look like.”
Faris was also recently recognized for his commitment to advancing technology in Columbus Business First’s annual “20 People to Know in Technology.” In his role as Microsoft practice lead, Faris oversees developers, assists with IT strategy, leads client projects and plays an integral role in employee training. He is co-founder of the successful CloudDevelop conference in Columbus, Ohio and frequently speaks at regional technology events.
About the Microsoft MVP Award
Started in 1990, the Microsoft
MVP Award is meant to recognize exceptional community leaders in the
technology field. MVPs have a deep understanding of Microsoft products
and how people around the world make the most of them. Each year the
peer-nominated title-holders undergo evaluation and scrutiny to
determine the leaders who most effectively share their experiences and
help other professionals to leverage and produce quality Microsoft
applications. MVPs represent the true spirit of Microsoft's technical
communities.
