Digital Realty Announces Pricing Of 12.0 Million Shares Of 7.375% Series H Cumulative Redeemable Preferred Stock

SAN FRANCISCO, March 19, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Digital Realty Trust, Inc. (the "Company" or "Digital Realty") (NYSE: DLR) today announced the pricing of an underwritten public offering of 12.0 million shares of 7.375% Series H Cumulative Redeemable Preferred Stock at a price of $25.00 per share for gross proceeds of $300.0 million.  The offering is expected to close on March 26, 2014, subject to closing conditions. The Company has granted the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 1.8 million shares of its 7.375% Series H Cumulative Redeemable Preferred Stock in connection with the offering.  The Company intends to apply to list the shares on the New York Stock Exchange.

The Company intends to contribute the net proceeds from this offering to its operating partnership, Digital Realty Trust, L.P., which will subsequently use the net proceeds received from the Company to temporarily repay borrowings under its global revolving credit facility, to acquire additional properties, to fund development opportunities, for general corporate purposes, including potentially for the repurchase, redemption or retirement of outstanding debt or preferred equity securities, or a combination of the foregoing. The offering is being made pursuant to an effective shelf registration statement filed by the Company with the Securities and Exchange Commission and only by means of a prospectus and related prospectus supplement.
