Bearence Management Group Selects SyncHR

SAN MATEO, Calif., March 20, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- SyncHR, a provider of fully integrated HR, Benefits and Payroll software, announced today that Bearence Management Group, an industry-leading provider of insurance and financial strategies, has selected syncHR for its internal human resources system.

Founded in 2005, Bearence provides exceptional services to its colleagues, focusing on risk, investments, communications, consulting and outsourcing. With just under 100 employees, the company, like many others, was looking for a single system solution to meet their needs. With syncHR, Bearence will move from separate HRIS and Payroll systems onto syncHR's cloud-based, fully integrated system.

About the News
Prior to working with syncHR, Bearence was operating on multiple systems with no integration. This meant double-entry for all actions and changes, creating an extremely inefficient work environment for even the simplest tasks. Dealing with more than one system also meant the potential for errors over time. Bearence's goal is to develop and utilize one internal system with syncHR that will accommodate their HR, Benefits and Payroll needs.

In addition, Bearence will benefit from utilizing syncHR's patented Time Relational Database.  The brokerage firm will be able to access point in time reports and answer key business questions that were previously unattainable given the constraints of their prior legacy system.

"After reviewing several solutions, Bearence selected syncHR. They recognized how syncHR would automate their manual payroll, HR and reporting needs while reducing the number of admin staff required to manage these departments.  Bearence has had significant success implementing the software and have since started referring their own clients to us," said Steven Reger, Vice President of Sales for syncHR.

"SyncHR offers a visually-appealing, user-friendly interface. The workflow is great and the benefit module was really smooth. We were looking for a single source solution to replace our current process, which includes several, disparate tool solutions, to alleviate most of the manual work for our department. SyncHR's integration has made everything really easy for us," said Stan Hamann, Regional Director of Bearence.

Any Ops team trying to support a company in today’s cloud-connected world knows that a new way of thinking is required – one just as dramatic than the shift from Ops to DevOps. The diversity of modern operations requires teams to focus their impact on breadth vs. depth. Too often with compelling new technologies market participants become overly enamored with that attractiveness of the technology and neglect underlying business drivers. This tendency, what some call the “newest shiny object syndrome,” is understandable given that virtually all of us are heavily engaged in technology. But it is also mistaken. Without concrete business cases driving its deployment, IoT, like many other technologies before it, will fade into obscurity.
Organizations from small to large are increasingly adopting cloud solutions to deliver essential business services at a much lower cost. According to cyber security experts, the frequency and severity of cyber-attacks are on the rise, causing alarm to businesses and customers across a variety of industries. To defend against exploits like these, a company must adopt a comprehensive security defense strategy that is designed for their business. In 2015, organizations such as United Airlines, Sony...
The Internet of Things is in the early stages of mainstream deployment but it promises to unlock value and rapidly transform how organizations manage, operationalize, and monetize their assets. IoT is a complex structure of hardware, sensors, applications, analytics and devices that need to be able to communicate geographically and across all functions. Once the data is collected from numerous endpoints, the challenge then becomes converting it into actionable insight.

Consumer IoT applications provide data about the user that just doesn’t exist in traditional PC or mobile web applications. This rich data, or “context,” enables the highly personalized consumer experiences that characterize many consumer IoT apps. This same data is also providing brands with unprecedented insight into how their connected products are being used, while, at the same time, powering highly targeted engagement and marketing opportunities. The web app is agile. The REST API is agile. The testing and planning are agile. But alas, data infrastructures certainly are not.
