These side games are open to all who want to play, with the opportunity to buy-in for cash at the venue. Stay tuned for the exciting opportunity to take part in a GBP 30 + GBP 5 Triple Shootout game, perfect for anyone who thinks they have what it takes to win.

The action begins on Saturday afternoon with a GBP 100 + GBP 10 two-day Deep Stack. After this, many players will relish the chance to battle the official PKR staff with a GBP 30 + GBP 5 Turbo Bounty.

These games are a great way to involve players that may not have a stake in the main event, and want to participate in an affordable side game.

What is Mixed Max?

PKR are pleased to host the revolutionary game format, Mixed Max, in the capital city of the UK.

A 3-day poker tournament with an entry fee of $500, Mixed Max is the ninth tournament to come out of the PKR Live series, where PKR have turned the tables on the traditional poker format.

The gauntlet has been thrown, challenging even the most proficient online poker players to come down and battle their way through a selection of game styles.

It all begins on the 28th March, starting with a traditional 9-seater No Limit Hold'em style game.

If you survive till day 2, your short handed game will be tested as we get ready to play 6-seater No Limit Hold'em - which will really separate the men from the boys!

Sunday is day 3, when we will commence our final day with heads-up No Limit Hold'em. We will begin with our final 16 who will return to bring their very best game to the table, playing a series of heads-up matches until the last man is standing.

That lucky player will be crowned PKR Live champion and collect an estimated first prize of $20,000.

Dan Grant (Head of PR) said, "Mixed Max is a real test of versatility and one we hope both our own players and the UK poker circuit will embrace. There are so many live tournaments on offer in the UK and Europe so it's important to be distinct. With the combination of social atmosphere, affordable buy-in and pioneering format, I think we've managed it!"

Come down to the vibrant Olympic Park for the greatest poker tournament of the year. Based in London's Aspers Stratford super casino on Montifichet Road, the first hand will be dealt during the PM on Friday.

Real-time stream processing is needed in a variety of different industries such as Manufacturing, Oil and Gas, Automobile, Finance, Online Retail, Smart Grids, and Healthcare. Azure Stream Analytics is a fully managed distributed stream computation service that provides low latency, scalable processing of ...
In today's digital world, change is the one constant. Disruptive innovations like cloud, mobility, social media, and the Internet of Things have reshaped the market and set new standards in customer expectations. However, the rigid and siloed structures of traditional IT platforms and processes are slowing them down – resulting in lengthy delivery ...
Amazon and Google have built software-defined data centers (SDDCs) that deliver massively scalable services with great efficiency. Yet, building SDDCs has proven to be a near impossibility for ‘normal’ companies without hyper-scale resources. In his session at 17th Cloud Expo, David Cauthron, founder and chief executive officer of Nimboxx, will discuss the evolution of virtualization (hardware, application, memory, storage) and how commodity / open source hyper converged infrastructure (HCI) so...
Enterprises can achieve rigorous IT security as well as improved DevOps practices and Cloud economics by taking a new, cloud-native approach to application delivery. Because the attack surface for cloud applications is dramatically different than for highly controlled data centers, a disciplined and multi-layered approach that spans all of your processes, staff, vendors and technologies is required. This may sound expensive and time consuming to achieve as you plan how to move selected applicati...

Contrary to mainstream media attention, the multiple possibilities of how consumer IoT will transform our everyday lives aren’t the only angle of this headline-gaining trend. There’s a huge opportunity for “industrial IoT” and “Smart Cities” to impact the world in the same capacity – especially during critical situations. For example, a community water dam that needs to release water can leverage embedded critical communications logic to alert the appropriate individuals, on the right device, as...

The web app is agile. The REST API is agile. The testing and planning are agile. But alas, data infrastructures certainly are not. Once an application matures, changing the shape or indexing scheme of data often forces at best a top down planning exercise and at worst includes schema changes that force downtime. As more intelligent IoT applications shift into gear, they’re merging into the ever-increasing traffic flow of the Internet. It won’t be long before we experience bottlenecks, as IoT traffic peaks during rush hours. As billions of new devices begin to communicate and exchange data – will your infrastructure be scalable enough to handle this new interconnected world?
WebRTC has had a real tough three or four years, and so have those working with it. Only a few short years ago, the development world were excited about WebRTC and proclaiming how awesome it was. You might have played with the technology a couple of years ago, only to find the extra infrastructure requirements were painful to implement and poorly documented.
