The informational and educational conference was designed to showcase new products and procedures, share best practices, and unveil the company's dynamic new web design which is set to debut in April at www.moshield.com.

"It was a great opportunity to get everyone together in one room and share information on the experiences and successes of the individual franchisees," said Michael Moorhouse, Vice President of Franchise Development for Mosquito Shield. "The event reaffirmed our belief in the value of the franchise model and the value of the service it provides."

A leader in residential mosquito and tick control since 2001, Mosquito Shield Franchise Corporation has perfected a revenue-generating franchise opportunity in the growing pest-control industry. With the threat of mosquito and tick-borne illnesses on the rise in the United States, consumers looking for a safer, effective approach to protection have turned to Mosquito Shield.

The company's innovative approach to pest management, which includes a 99.97 percent natural solution and a flexible spraying schedule, has set the industry standard for mosquito and tick control.

Mosquito Shield has invested over 13 years of research and development in the perfection of its impenetrable Mosquito Protection Barrier™, which turns any treated property into a mosquito-free zone by killing and repelling mosquitoes and other harmful outdoor pests.

Launched early in 2013, the Mosquito Shield Franchise Corporation has already opened 16 franchise territories with several more openings scheduled in the coming months. The company offers prospective franchisees proprietary systems and products, state-of-the-art technology and analytics, and unique benefits like Mobile Route Management, Digital Marketing Platforms, and a Customized Business Management Platform.

The two-day conference in Hershey also featured a welcome address by company Founder and CEO David Briggs and a keynote address by Cynthia Clarkin, a Senior Franchise Consultant from iFranchise Group, the world's premiere franchise consulting firm.

Franchisees were also treated to a presentation by the company's marketing agency, Sir Isaac, and a private tour of Hershey Park.

When building large, cloud-based applications that operate at a high scale, it’s important to maintain a high availability and resilience to failures. In order to do that, you must be tolerant of failures, even in light of failures in other areas of your application. “Fly two mistakes high” is an old adage in the radio control airplane hobby. It means, fly high enough so that if you make a mistake, you can continue flying with room to still make mistakes. In his session at 18th Cloud Expo, Lee A...
