GREENSBORO, N.C., March 21, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Every third Friday of each month PhotoBiz will be releasing the latest collection of designs, fonts, backgrounds, and features. PhotoBiz kicked off our first "New Feature Friday" with 2 New Portfolio Site Designs.

Manilla Bay

Known as 'The Crossroad of the Pacific', Manilla Bay, located in the Philippines, is one of the world's great harbors, which is why it was an inspiration for our Manilla Bay Portfolio Site design. With this design, the natural volcanic peaks that line the sides of the bay mimic the geometric elements enclosing the content area on our Manilla Bay Portfolio Site design. The design also features a left side navigation menu and supports the use of a custom background. In addition, this design's gallery pages feature thumbnails that are placed above the content area, which add a subtle yet unique edge to the design.

PhotoBiz would like to thank Denise Marie Olson of Denise Marie Olson Photography & Design in Corning, New York for letting us feature her work on the Manilla Bay Portfolio Site sample.

Monarch Beach

Monarch Beach is located in Orange County, California, and is named after its most prominent feature, 'Monarch Bay,' which was once a breeding ground for the Monarch Butterfly. Our Monarch Beach Portfolio Site design was influenced by the beautiful expansive shores of Monarch Beach. The design itself is contemporary yet elegant, and allows the images to be the main focus of the site. The clean, minimal lines along the bottom of the design flow into the navigation menu area, helping guide visitors through the site. Monarch Beach is a fantastic modern design that is perfect for showcasing any type of photography.

Special thanks to Craig Stidham of Craig Stidham Photography in Panhandle, Texas for letting us feature his work on the Monarch Beach Portfolio Site sample.

"Customers get very excited to see what new Templates and Features we are releasing," Said Jennifer Vejar-Stover, PhotoBiz Support Captain. "It really does become a monthly event to check into."

Also for this "New Feature Friday" there is a new design for PhotoBiz Content Sites, Stores, & Blogs.

River Street is the latest addition to the "Designer Series" of Content Site, Store, & Blog designs. Named after one of the most well-known streets in Savannah, Georgia, the River Street design provides the same timeless elegance and charm that its namesake does. This is the first PhotoBiz design that integrates a centered navigation menu with embedded graphic shape elements that can be selected from where the logo will be displayed front & center.

Another special thanks to Tessa Rice of Tessa Rice Photography in Atlanta, Georgia for letting us feature her work on the River Street Sample Sites.

Starting with the first "New Feature Friday", PhotoBiz will begin integrating fonts from the Google Font library into the Font Bank, which will provide our customers with many more new options. PhotoBiz could not have a big release like this without including some awesome new backgrounds to polish off the first "New Feature Friday," and have added four new backgrounds to our Background Library.

The web app is agile. The REST API is agile. The testing and planning are agile. But alas, data infrastructures certainly are not. The time has come for a new approach that fundamentally advances the agility of distributed data infrastructures. Come learn about a new solution to the problems faced by software organ...
Too often with compelling new technologies market participants become overly enamored with that attractiveness of the technology and neglect underlying business drivers. This tendency, what some call the “newest shiny object syndrome,” is understandable given that virtually all of us are heavily engaged in technology. But it is also mistaken. Without concrete business cases driving its deployment, IoT, like many other technologies before it, will fade into obscurity.
As a CIO, are your direct reports IT managers or are they IT leaders? You have your devices and your data, but what about the rest of your Internet of Things story? Two popular classes of technologies that nicely handle the Big Data analytics for Internet of Things are Apache Hadoop and NoSQL. Hadoop is designed for parallelizing analytical work across many servers and is ideal for the massive data volumes you create with IoT devices. NoSQL databases such as Apache HBase are ideal for storing and retrieving IoT data as “time series data.”
