Brekford Launches School Safety Zone SpeedAlert System

HANOVER, MD -- (Marketwired) -- 03/21/14 -- Brekford Corp. (the "Company") (OTCBB: BFDI) (OTCQB: BFDI), a leading public safety technology service provider of fully integrated traffic safety solutions, parking enforcement citation collections and an end-to-end suite of technology equipment for public safety vehicle services, today announced the launch of its Safety Zone SpeedAlert system. The technology is an all-in-one fully portable device that combines a tracking radar sign that notifies drivers of their approaching speed with a photo enforcement camera to identify violators exceeding a predetermined speed threshold.

Brekford collaborated with the City of Laurel, Maryland to develop the technology as an alternative solution to traditional photo speed enforcement camera system. The systems are battery powered or solar with wireless communications, enabling rapid deployment on a rotating basis throughout the community. Photo enforcement cameras are an optional component the City may choose to rotate among a group of the systems to ensure a constant "safety net" for multiple school zones.

When combined with Brekford's industry leading citation and collection management software, iP360, the SpeedAlert systems serve as a complete solution especially in areas where the law does not yet permit photo speed enforcement.
