The International Shootout, Elimination Round and Team Competition prepared Quebec City for what will be an unforgettable World Finals race tomorrow night, where thousands will watch Canadian favourites, including Scott Croxall of Calgary (ranked 3rd overall) and Dean Moriarty of Montreal (ranked 8th overall), battle for icy glory. Canada, Austria and the USA continue to lead the world standings, with hometown hero John Fisher, of Unionville, ON powering down the gruelling 480-m urban ice track in the fastest time in today's International Shootout.
"This is the best track I've seen all season and it feels great to compete on home soil," Fisher recounts. "I know that I can win, I just can't get too confident now."
The International Shootout determined the strongest 32 Ice Cross Downhill athletes of the season, who will automatically advance to tomorrow's final event. Today's Elimination Round gave another 64 Canadian and International men one last chance to battle for a place in the World Finals on Saturday night, with Canadians representing a clear majority of the 32 advancing athletes.

The final races will start tomorrow with the women's World Finals, followed by the 2014 Ice Cross Downhill World Championship race, certain to be the most memorable of the year.

WebRTC has had a real tough three or four years, and so have those working with it. Only a few short years ago, the development world were excited about WebRTC and proclaiming how awesome it was. You might have played with the technology a couple of years ago, only to find the extra infrastructure requirements were painful to implement and poorly documented. This probably left a bitter taste in your mouth, especially when things went wrong.
