Minister Glover goes to Moncton to find out
MONCTON, NB, March 22, 2014 /CNW/ - Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Language Shelly Glover met today with representatives of the Moncton region's business and cultural sector as part of a roundtable on the celebrations for Canada's 150th birthday. In addition, she invited all residents of New Brunswick to complete the online questionnaire at Canada.ca/150.
- Since December 2013, the Government of Canada has held 18 roundtables all across the country on the celebrations in 2017. Numerous people who are active in their communities and represent a wide range of organizations or groups were able to make their voices heard.
- More than 8,000 Canadians have already completed the online questionnaire on Canada's 150th anniversary.
- The data collected will provide insight into the types of activities and projects that resonate most with Canadians and will help us plan the celebrations.
- Over the next three years, as we approach the anniversary, we will celebrate key historic milestones that have defined our country.
