The competition conducted by Invis Multimedia, the consultant IT solution provider of Kerala Tourism, ended on March 20, 2014.
Attention gourmands and gourmets, food-lovers and foodies, the Great Kerala Food Championship, organized by Kerala Tourism, and conducted by Invis Multimedia, the consultant IT solution provider of Kerala Tourism, has just concluded.
The competition ended on March 20, 2014, and was a resounding success.
More than 350 recipes were submitted by contestants and many received were new and unique. Kerala Tourism has already uploaded more than 100 detailed video recipes and textual recipes to its site, https://www.keralatourism.org/kerala-food/. 300 new submitted recipes Kerala will be uploaded as well very soon, and will add to the vast vault of recipes from global travelers to the state. The Chinese, the Arabs, the French, the Portuguese, the British, and the Dutch have lived in the state and shared their culinary traditions with Kerala, and now contest participants will also join their ranks and influence the state's cuisine. All recipes will be available online after they have been assessed for ease of preparation and after prizes are announced for winning entries.
According to a spokesperson of Kerala Tourism, the diversity and the delectable variety of Kerala cuisine (both vegetarian and non-vegetarian) is a huge aspect that attracts travelers from all over India to the state. The competition has therefore been a valuable tool in building interest and attracting potential travelers to the state.
The Department of Tourism, Government of Kerala, popularly known as Kerala Tourism, is the official agency for promoting destination Kerala, state of the Republic of India. Kerala is famous for backwaters, beaches, hill stations, ayurvedic rejuvenation, martial arts and performing arts, etc.
