Flexibility and security are currently among the most important and topical issues in the IT sector. The resources required to run your own IT infrastructure in a modern computing centre in Switzerland with the highest security requirements are rented in the form of a virtual data centre. SecureRack offers the vDatacenter product, a flexible resource pool that enables companies to run a virtual data centre according to their own needs. Various operating systems and more than 100 server templates for the configuration of servers are provided. Resource pools are available from only EUR 24.50 per month.

All data are exclusively located in Switzerland and are professionally protected by multiple firewalls and ultra-modern encryption technology.

Switzerland as a location

The high level of legal security, the strong data protection laws and the Swiss tradition of confidentiality and neutrality make Switzerland the ideal location for your virtual data centre. Switzerland is not a member of the EU and is therefore not subject to data exchange agreements with other countries.

The products of http://www.securerack.com are not constrained by predefined service packages or individual servers, but offer solutions that allow the customers to define their own resource pools according to their needs (CPU, RAM, DISK). These pools can be used to define, operate and delete any number of servers without additional costs. The customers thus have complete flexibility.

More than 100 server templates available

SecureRack not only offers its customers different operating systems such as Linux or Windows, but also more than 100 server templates with commonly used applications. A customer can use them to create a server with the desired characteristics within minutes.

"Our server templates clearly distinguish us from our competitors and add significant value for our customers. A pre-configured server with the desired applications is ready for use in a few minutes. Interested parties will receive a discount of 50% for one month to test the SecureRack vDatacenter by creating and running any number of servers. Provision of a vDatacenter only takes five minutes and is handled on-line by our http://www.securerack.com web site," said Marcel Gmür, COO of Backbone Solutions AG.

Containers have changed the mind of IT in DevOps. They enable developers to work with dev, test, stage and production environments identically. The Internet of Things is not only adding billions of sensors and billions of terabytes to the Internet. It is also forcing a fundamental change in the way we envision Information Technology. For the first time, more data is being created by devices at the edge of the Internet rather than from centralized systems. What does this mean for today's IT professional? In this Power Panel at @ThingsExpo, moderated by Conference Chair Roger Strukhoff, panelists addressed this very serious issue of pro...
The cloud has transformed how we think about software quality. Instead of preventing failures, we must focus on automatic recovery from failure. In other words, resilience trumps traditional quality measures. Continuous delivery models further squeeze traditional notions of quality. Remember the venerable project management Iron Triangle? Among time, scope, and cost, you can only fix two or quality will suffer. Only in today's DevOps world, continuous testing, integration, and deployment upend...

Explosive growth in connected devices. Enormous amounts of data for collection and analysis. Critical use of data for split-second decision making and actionable information. All three are factors in making the Internet of Things a reality. Yet, any one factor would have an IT organization pondering its infrastructure strategy. In the midst of the widespread popularity and adoption of cloud computing, it seems like everything is being offered “as a Service” these days: Infrastructure? Check. Platform? You bet. Software? Absolutely. Toaster? It’s only a matter of time. With service providers positioning vastly differing offerings under a generic “cloud” umbrella, it’s all too easy to get confused about what’s actually being offered. In his session at 16th Cloud Expo, Kevin Hazard, Director of Digital Content for SoftL...
